A 2,000-acre property in Virginia Hunt Country has bought for $18.750 million, the most costly residential sale in Virginia, Maryland or D.C. since 2022.

Prior to promoting, the Hume, Virginia, property was most just lately listed at $19.5 million.

The property is known as The Cove.

It was listed by Kathryn Harrell, and Robert Hryniewicki, Adam Rackliffe, Christopher Leary, and Micah Smith of HRL Partners at Washington Fine Properties.

The sprawling property on the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, features a lake, ponds and mountaineering trails.

The 20,000-square-foot house with eight bedrooms and 11 baths was inbuilt 2002. It has a pool, house theater, gymnasium, 10 fireplaces and a 3,500-bottle wine cellar with tasting room.

There can be a nine-car storage and a carriage home.
